$86,973 to be Awarded to Nonprofit Organizations that Administer Emergency Food and Shelter Programs in Baker, Crisp, Dougherty, Lee, Mitchell, Terrell & Worth Counties
Nonprofit organizations that provide emergency food, shelter, rental or utility assistance in Baker, Crisp, Dougherty, Lee, Mitchell, Terrell and Worth counties are invited to apply for federal funding under Phase 36 of the Emergency Food and Shelter Program (EFSP).
A total of $86,973 will be awarded to local nonprofit organizations through a competitive process determined by a local board that has the responsibility of recommending agencies to receive funds.
Under the terms of the grant from the National Board, local organizations chosen to receive funds for mass shelter, mass feeding, other food, temporary lodging, rent/mortgage assistance and utility assistance must meet the following criteria:
- have non-profit status
- maintain an accounting system
- practice non-discrimination
- demonstrate the capacity to deliver emergency food and/or shelter programs
- have a voluntary board (if the agency is a private voluntary organization)
To apply for Emergency Food and Shelter Program funds, please complete each section of application form in link below. This form must be RECEIVED (not postmarked) no later than 12:00pm, Friday, August 16, 2019. Applications received after this deadline date will not be considered for funding.
