The Volunteer Center of Southwest Georgia
Our Mission:
To promote and facilitate volunteer activities throughout the community and to function as an umbrella agency, cooperating with other agencies, non-profits, business, and educational facilities to mobilize the effective use of volunteers in resolving community problems.
Why should I volunteer?
When you give of yourself, you have the ability to make a dramatic impact in the life of another person. Whether it's tutoring a young child, performing home chores for an elderly person, or providing case management to a family at risk of homelessness, you can literally change people's lives for the better by volunteering.
The Volunteer Center of Southwest Georgia will match you with volunteer opportunities that fit your interests, skills, availability, and location. They are happy to help you over the phone or in person in an interview.
